Vaigah Farmer Producer Company, in order to develop the outlets will create in the ECOCENTRE a plant of pellets based on moringa which is highly galactogen and healthy for cattle.
The project is to produce around 20 tons / month.
A large part of this production is already requested from us by by Indian dairy cooperatives
In a few simple words, aquaponics is the fusion of 2 techniques, aquaculture and hydroponics, which allows aquatic plants and animals to live together in perfect harmony in a closed system. . The plants are irrigated in a closed circuit with water coming from ponds where the fish are raised. Of bacteria aerobic turn fish waste into nutrients directly assimilated by plants. The purified water then returns to the basins.
Vaigah Farmer Producer Company is supported by NABARD (agricultural bank for rural development). It brings together 1030 small farmers over approximately 700 hectares.
They are supported and trained by our teams.
Common mechanized equipment is also used.
We owe it for the most part to one of our French donors who generously supports us.
The cooperative produces local food crops, but it is above all the cultivation of moringa that interests us here and which is in the process of organic certification.
The cooperative bought two hectares of land on which we already have a moringa washing area, a solar dryer, a building for the processing of moringa and administrative services.
In this area, the project is to develop an ECOCENTRE which will be a technical tool and a training-demonstration center for rural populations.
The project
Already operational :
- For Moringa processing we built a washing area, built a workshop for grinding, packaging in powder, tablets and capsules. The husking of the seeds and the oil press.
We completed by a solar dryer.
Coming soon :
- A small animal feed production unit based on moringa, highly nutritious granules which are already requested from us by Indian dairy cooperatives
- A small pond for Tilapia fish that will be fed on moringa
- Aquaponics greenhouses to train populations in this technique

- And finally we will install an apiary to improve moringa honey production
